Brutal heat. Agonizing humidity. Tempers on a hair-trigger. Yes, the month of August can be mentally and physically exhausting, but there are ways to escape. How? With another weekly round of funny videos.

From ’80s fashion to a Myposian version of Stranger Things, here are five funny things from this week you need to watch.

1. Perfect Stranger Things

Regarded as this summer’s “Must Binge Watch” show, Netflix’s Stranger Things has tweaked the nostalgia nerve in folks raised on Stephen King, John Carpenter and Steven Spielberg. By extension, those ’80s kids were probably also big fans of the mismatched cousins on ABC’s TGIF sitcom, Perfect Strangers. And through the power of this YouTube mash-up, we no longer have to keep our love for Monster Squad and everyone’s favorite Myposian separate.

2. It’s the ’80s Outside

IFC’s Comedy Crib brings you a series of bite-sized videos from the sketch group The Annoyance. Hilarious and fast-paced enough to marathon a bunch during your lunch break, they make for a fine mood-booster and varied enough to keep you entertained. Check out this quick vignette exploring the appropriate wardrobe for when it’s “in the 80s” outside. (Watch more from The Annoyance and other great Comedy Crib series on YouTube and IFC.com.)

3. Attack Ad, ’90s Style

Documentary Now! is coming back to IFC on September 14th at 10P, and fans were recently given a sneak peek of the season premiere. In “The Bunker,” a tribute to the 1993 political documentary The War Room, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader play campaign managers scheming to get their inexperienced candidate elected in the 1992 Ohio governor race. In the clip above, the campaign team takes a look at a new attack ad against their rival. As you can expect, things take a turn for the hilarious.

4. Bruce Wayne vs. the World

Cross-pollinating DC Comics with director Edgar Wright’s non-Cornetto universe, this mashup trailer pits the Dark Knight’s alter ego Bruce Wayne against a graphically enhanced Rogue’s Gallery. The video takes clips from Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and inserts the hyperkinetic visual gags found in Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, thus creating the most whiz-bang version of the Caped Crusader this side of Adam West.

5. If You Competed in the Olympics

With Olympic fever about to sweep the nation, you might have inklings to ditch the 9-to-5 and finally live out your dreams of being a professional gymnast, or, say, shot putter. But as College Humor shows in the sketch above, an Olympic games filled with average folks like us would be more than a little underwhelming. We might get an awkward tumble in here and there, but chances are we’ll quickly get distracted by Twitter.
